Gansbaai has an incredible range of pristine beaches for it’s guests to visit. Whether you want to lie in the sun, go for a long walk, enjoy a sunset picnic or take a refreshing dip, Gansbaais many beaches allow for it all.

For fishing, hiking, swimming, watersports and beach activities Die Plaat, situated between Hermanus and De Kelders is the ideal place to be. This 17km stretch of beach is made up of white sand and rocky outcrops attachd to the Walker Bay Nature Reserve which also make for excellent hiking. The only thing to be aware of is the strong under-currents in the water which are higher risk when there are no lifeguards around.

Stanford Bay is the perfect place to take your family for a picnic or safe swimming. Nestled in a protected cove it offers white sand, a lush green lawn and hiking trails that lead to a beautiful big tidal pool near the harbour.

Kleinbaai, just east of Danger Point, offer a tidal pool and rock pools that make both swimming and rock angling a pleasure. There is also a stretch of white sandy beach and dunes to enjoy between Franskrall and Pearly beach.
